Sahra V. Nguyen is an award-winning filmmaker, director, writer, and entrepreneur passionate about increasing diversity in media and amplifying stories from the Asian American community.

Sahra's recent documentary, “Deported,” which highlights the global fight to end deportation through the lens of 1Love Movement, won the 2018 NAMIC Vision Award for Best Digital Media, Long Form (The National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications). 

Her documentary series on NBC News, titled “Self-Starters,” which celebrates Asian American trailblazers around the country, was nominated for the LA Press Club and EPPY Awards.

Inspired by the brilliance of our communities,  Sahra created a documentary series about creative hustlers pursuing the unconventional path titled, "Maker's Lane."
